SYDOS is a continuous loss in weight gravimetric dosing system designed to dose and feed multiple components simultaneously in all processes in which a constant gravimetric feed is required. Each hopper and material is weighed by two off-center load cells.
PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
> Continuous loss-in-weight metering.
> Measurement of weight loss of the main component.
> Measurement of weight loss of the secondary components.
> The secondary components are continuously and simultaneously metered into the feed throat adaptor via auger screws where they combine with the main component.
> The main component is gravity fed with the additives and the loss in weight is monitored via load cell on the main hopper.
> The secondary component feeders are individually controlled in order to reach and maintain the pre-set metering ratio with the main component.

Easily cleaned and a fast production change over SYDOS has all the side component gravimetric hoppers removable, so blender cleaning and production changeover has never been so fast and easy for an operator.
ACCURACY AND VIBRATION SYDOS
has 2 loads cells for each component to negate vibration and to have better stability and improve the accuracy of dosing. Also all the loads cell are protected so the operator cannot damaged them.
Generally a dosing system doesn’t really mix due to the tiny collector where all the components are metered. SYdos thanks to its innovative cascade mixer guarantees a good blend. HMI Every blender has its own 5.7”
touch screen from which the operator can easily set the parameters, calibrate the load cell and check the alarms. VNC is installed to allow easy remote monitoring via an internet / ethernet connection. Every blender has its own ethernet IP address so that customers can easily control and remotely access the system on the factory Local Area Network.
FESTO or SMC digital pneumatic components are connected directly via serial port to the PLC to make the installation the easiest possible and allow simple troubleshooting. Thanks to this modularity solution any future upgrade is guaranteed.
PLC AND I/O
All blenders have a B&R PLC installed along with B&R I/O. This solution makes each blender modular so that in future is possible to add components or to allow retrofitting on to an existing installation. In case of any component failures, it is easy for customer anywhere in the world to find locally sourced B&R parts so they can replace them directly without wasting time for transportation.
SYdos can be supply along with an integrated centralised conveying system controlled by the same PLC as the blender.
SYDOS is prearranged to work with up to 7 components. Both mechanically and electrically SYdos can be upgraded easily in future up to 7 components as both the dosing system itself and the PLC are pre-prepared.
SYDOS uses as standard, ac brushless ABB motors with a wide operating window. These motors are socket connected so in case of failure no lengthy unwiring is needed. The screw is very easily removed for cleaning.
